Third-Party Services and International Transfers

We use trusted third-party services to provide our platform. This includes services that may process your data outside the UK:

Clerk (Authentication and Payment Processing)

Purpose: User authentication, account management, and payment processing

Location: United States

Data processed: Name, email address, authentication data, and payment information

Safeguards: Clerk complies with applicable data protection frameworks and uses appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data

Important: We do not directly store or process payment card details. All payment processing is handled securely by Clerk in accordance with industry standards (PCI DSS compliance).

When your data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place through:

  • Service providers who comply with recognised data protection frameworks
  • Contractual protections requiring adequate data security measures
  • Regular review of third-party security and privacy practices

How Long We Keep Information

We keep your personal information for different periods depending on the type of information and why we have it:

Active Subscription Accounts

We keep your personal data for as long as your subscription is active and you continue to use our service.

Cancelled Accounts

After you cancel your subscription, we keep your data for 12 months to handle any potential billing queries and to allow you to reactivate your account easily.

Payment Information

Payment records are kept for 7 years to comply with UK tax and accounting requirements.

Marketing Data

Marketing preferences and related data are kept until you withdraw consent or after 3 years of account inactivity, whichever comes first.

Support and Correspondence

Records of support queries, complaints, and correspondence are kept for 2 years from the date of resolution.

Website Analytics

Anonymised website usage data is typically kept for 26 months for analytical purposes.

You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at privacy@actors.link, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain certain information.
